CoDairy Privacy Policy

Effective date: 21 September 2026

CoDairy helps dairy co-operative operators record milk collection, feed, advances and farmer settlements — even with no network. This policy explains what information the CoDairy app (com.codairy.app) collects, how it is used and stored, who it is shared with, and how you can have it deleted.

In short

1. Who we are

CoDairy is developed and operated by RangeOrbit (rangeorbit.com). In this policy, "RangeOrbit", "we", "us" and "our" mean the team behind CoDairy. For any privacy question, write to support@rangeorbit.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work. This is the complete list:

Account information

Mobile numberYour +91 mobile number, used to sign you in with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. Provided through Firebase Authentication.
Account IDA unique user ID generated by Firebase Authentication. It identifies your account and keys all of your data.

Dairy profile (entered when you register)

RequiredDairy name, owner name, village name.
OptionalAddress and an alternate phone number.

Business records you enter

FarmersFarmer ID, name and (optionally) phone number.
Milk entriesFarmer, cow and buffalo quantity (litres), rate and total, date, morning/evening session, and entry time.
Feed purchasesFarmer, date, feed type, number of bags, price per bag and total.
Advances and settlementsFarmer, amounts, dates, notes, and settlement breakdowns (milk, feed and advance amounts, carry-forward balances).

Subscription and payment information

Subscription recordYour plan (free trial or paid), farmer-limit tier, billing cycle, start and expiry dates, and the Razorpay order ID and payment ID for a paid plan.
Payment detailsCard, UPI and bank details are entered directly into Razorpay's checkout. We never see or store them. To speed up checkout, the app pre-fills your mobile number and owner name in Razorpay's payment sheet.

Stored only on your device

PreferencesLanguage, default cow and buffalo milk rates, default feed prices, and the voice-feedback on/off setting.
Cached copiesA copy of your dairy profile and subscription status, so the app works offline and can check plan expiry without a connection.

Technical data processed by our service providers

Like any online service, Google Firebase and Razorpay receive standard technical information (such as IP address and device or app-verification data) when your device connects to them, for example to deliver an OTP SMS, prevent abuse and keep the service secure. We do not use this information for any other purpose.

3. Information we do not collect

CoDairy does not collect or access:

  • your location;
  • your phone contacts;
  • photos, videos, files, camera or microphone data;
  • an advertising ID, or any data for advertising or marketing;
  • analytics or usage-tracking data (analytics collection is switched off);
  • crash reports sent to third-party crash-reporting services;
  • push-notification tokens. The app shows only local notifications generated on your device (see "Data Sync" below).

4. Farmer information you enter

As a dairy operator you enter details about the farmers you buy milk from, such as their names and phone numbers. You are responsible for having their permission to record this information. We store it only to provide the app to you, and we do not contact farmers or use their details for any other purpose.

5. How we use information

  • Sign you in and keep you signed in on your device.
  • Provide the app: store and show your farmers, milk, feed, advance and settlement records, calculate totals and settlements, and generate reports.
  • Work offline and sync: save your records on your device first and sync them to our cloud database when you are online.
  • Manage your subscription: run the 30-day free trial, enforce your plan's farmer limit, process payments and activate or renew your plan.
  • Show local notifications: the app can display a "Data Sync" notification on your device while a large backlog of offline changes syncs. This notification is created on your device and does not involve sending you any remote push messages.
  • Reports: when you generate a PDF report, it is created on your device and shared only through the app you choose in your phone's share sheet.
  • Voice feedback: if enabled, your phone's built-in text-to-speech reads out farmer names and saved quantities. This happens on your device.
  • Support: respond when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

6. Sharing and third parties

We share information only with the service providers below, and only as needed to run CoDairy.

Google FirebaseFirebase Authentication (mobile-number login and OTP), Cloud Firestore (your profile, subscription and business records) and Cloud Functions (payment processing). Provided by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
RazorpayPayment gateway for paid plans. Razorpay collects your payment details and processes the transaction under its own privacy policy: razorpay.com/privacy.
timeapi.ioThe app asks this public time service for the current Indian time so that morning/evening sessions are correct. No personal data is sent, although, like any web request, it receives your device's IP address.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or security of our users or the service. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Storage and security

  • Where your data is stored. Your profile, subscription and business records are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, in the asia-south1 (Mumbai, India) region. Our payment functions also run in asia-south1. Other Firebase services, such as Authentication and OTP delivery, are operated by Google and may process data in other locations.
  • On your device. The app keeps an offline copy of your data and preferences on your phone so it works without a network.
  • Encryption in transit. Data moves between the app and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Access controls. Database security rules allow a signed-in user to read and write only their own profile, subscription and dairy records. Payment secrets are kept on the server and are never stored in the app.
  • Device backups. Depending on your device settings, your phone's operating-system backup (for example Google backup on Android) may include the app's data on your device.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your phone with a screen lock.

8. Data retention

  • We keep your account, profile and business records for as long as your account exists, so that your history is available when you return. We do not automatically delete accounts or records because of inactivity or an expired trial or plan.
  • You can delete individual farmers, milk entries, feed entries and payment records inside the app at any time.
  • When you delete your account (see below), we delete your data as described in that section.
  • Razorpay keeps its own payment records under its policy and applicable law, independently of CoDairy.

9. Account and data deletion

You can delete your CoDairy account and its data in either of two ways.

Option 1 — Delete inside the app

Open Profile in the app and tap Delete Account, then confirm. You will be asked to verify your mobile number with an OTP to confirm the request. You need an internet connection.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the app (for example, you no longer have it installed), email support@rangeorbit.com with the subject "Delete my CoDairy account". Include the mobile number registered on your CoDairy account so we can verify that the request comes from you. We may contact you to confirm your identity before deleting anything. We will process verified requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • your dairy profile (dairy name, owner name, village, address, mobile and alternate numbers);
  • all of your farmer, milk, feed, advance and settlement records, including the farmer names and phone numbers you entered;
  • your subscription record, including the stored Razorpay order and payment IDs;
  • your login account (mobile number and account ID) in Firebase Authentication;
  • the copy of your data and preferences stored on the device you delete from.

What may remain

  • Payment records held by Razorpay, under Razorpay's own retention obligations.
  • Routine server logs of payment activity, which may contain your account ID and are kept for a short period under Google Cloud's standard log retention.
  • Copies in your phone's operating-system backup, or in files you exported or shared (such as a PDF report), which are outside our control.

Deletion is permanent. Deleted data cannot be recovered. Deleting your account does not automatically refund a paid plan. Export any reports you need first. If you delete your account and later sign up again with the same number, you will start with a new, empty account.

10. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correct. You can view and edit your records and profile inside the app. You can change your owner name and your mobile number from the Profile screen.
  • Notifications. You can turn off the local "Data Sync" notification in your phone's notification settings.
  • Voice feedback. You can switch it off in Profile → Settings.
  • Request a copy, correction or deletion. Email support@rangeorbit.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, and in any event within the time required by applicable law.

You may also have rights under the laws that apply to you, including Indian data-protection law. Contact us to exercise them.

11. Children's privacy

CoDairy is a business tool for adult dairy operators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact support@rangeorbit.com and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add features. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is material, we will also tell you in the app. Please review this page periodically.
